ok, so first post in QUITE some time! I’m super excited to be attending the Influence Network’s conference here in a couple weeks. Indiana here we come! Baby Emma and I are flying together and I must admit I’m a wee bit nervous to fly with a 2 month old. I’ve never flown with either of my children so this should be interesting. I’ve already scoured Pinterest and the blogosphere for other mommy bloggers tips and tricks for flying with an infant. I must say, it was actually pretty darn helpful. I’m just fearful that I’ll be the evil mom who brought a baby on the plane. I keep having nightmares that Im sitting on the plane and everyone os boarding, and as they pass by me they give us the stink eye. I just don’t want the whole plane to hate me if she cries! Am I being ridiculous? I hope not.
Alrighty, down to business. The first prompt asked, “What two items I will be sure to have packed in my bag?” Number one, I am packing our little squishy mushroom night light so I can nurse Emma in the wee hours if she wakes up. Its bad enough that my roommates may have to endure nights with a crying baby, I want to disrupt their sleep as little as possible. Luckily Emma is a pretty chill chica. Number two, I plan to pack gobs and gobs of luna bars! They are my fav and I am basically always hungry when breastfeeding. Good snack for the plane and during sessions and what not. If you havent tried a Luna bar, then I highly suggest you drop whatever you are doing and go get one, or twenty. You have to try Vanilla Almond, and White Chocolate Macadamia nut. They are like heaven in a little blue wrapper. oh and Caramel Brownie…and Chocolate Coconut…and Chocolate Peppermint stick…and that pretzel one! Ok they are all good! Just not the lemon one. I’m hungry.
On to prompt number two! “Two things you are most looking forward to during the conference?” Honestly, I’m still not entirely sure what to expect, but I suppose I’d have to say meeting new friends with my same values to share my online life with. Often times its hard to find people who are supportive of blogging. A lot of people don’t really “get it”. I’m also really looking forward to the sessions and learning more about blogging with intention, and really just improving this space and myself as a blogger.
oh boy, 15 days from now, I’ll being boarding a plane! Please pray that Emma and I will have a safe and relatively painless flight, and that I will be present and mindful during the conference so as to get as much out of it as possible!
p.s. I think wordpress and I are going to be breaking up…it just not working out…and its not me (hence, no photos in this post)
